Hever Castle
Hever Castle dates back to 1270 and was the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's second wife and mother of Elizabeth I. In 1903 the castle was bought by William Waldorf Astor, who lovingly restored the castle and gardens. The house is filled with a magnificent collection of furniture, tapestries and works of art. King Edward VII officially recognised the popularity of the town in 1909 by granting it a 'Royal' prefix.
