his is the British army's own museum. As such, it chronicles the history of the army from its early origins, right up to the present day.
The soldier's story is brought to life by full-sized models, and there is also a special First World War trench. Weapons on display range from English Civil War pistols, to 17th century swords, and a Tudor cannon. Among the other exhibits are many uniforms, paintings and medals.
Refreshments are available and there is a well-stocked gift shop.
