ounded in 1971, the Photographers' Gallery is Britain's leading centre for contemporary photography. It presents 24 exhibitions a year in 3 galleries, focusing on the most important developments and talents in contemporary photography.

The Print Sales Room has the largest collection of original photographs for sale in the country and the bookshop has the latest photographic titles as well as posters, postcards and there's a mail order service too.

They also have a library and a café.

The blue plaque on the front of the building recalls that Sir Joshua Reynolds lived there from 1753 to 1761. Sir Joshua was a renowned portraitist and became the first president of the Royal Academy of Arts.
