Electrical Supply

In UK the electrical supply is 240 volts AC, 50 Hz. Standard power supply plugs are three pin square. You should equip yourself with adaptors as required. There is a distinction made between lighting and power for fusing purposes.
Power cuts are quite rare. Many public services and some large hotels and institutions have equipped themselves with emergency generators.
