Cavalry Memorial Parade (2nd Sunday in May)

The British army is divided into regiments which command great loyalty from their members. The cavalry regiments parade in Hyde Park once a year to the bandstand where a short memorial service is held. The various regimental bands of the cavalry wear particularly historic and colourful uniforms and lead hundreds of serving and former officers who wear a 'City kit' of suits, bowler hats and brolleys.

Those parading are the Household Cavalry Regiment, 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, The Royal Dragoon Guards, The Queen's Royal Hussars, 9th/12th Royal Lancers, The King's Royal Hussars, The Light Dragoons and The Queen's Royal Lancers.
