Beautifully calming, elegant, chic little bar in arguably London's most prestigious hotel. If you enter through the main door of the hotel, you'll be greeted by a phalanx of liveried doormen, footmen and valets. Turn right, wafting past the Palm Court orchestra and you'll find the bar tucked away under the staircase.

Art Deco in appearance, candles are lit on the tables in the evening and there are little alcoves for romantic pairs. The service is, as one would expect, impeccable but be prepared to pay for it. Claridge's Bar has a number of frequent and infrequent regulars; it's always fascinating to hear the steward heartily welcoming a customer by name who hasn't visited the place for years!
